Here are some Frequently Asked Questions that I would get.
How do we start a project?
I will ask for a sample photo or a description of what you are looking for with your requests, sizing and finishes. I will create drawings with dimensions for you to see what your project will look like. Going from there, you can make changes or accept the plans.
What type of wood do you use?
I use kiln dried, pine for most projects. I do not use construction or framing lumber for custom builds. The type of wood contains too much moisture and will be more prone to splitting, cracking, and warping.
What can I expect to pay??
Depending on the requested project, I charge for materials required and an hourly shop rate.
How long does it take to build?
My schedule fluctuates regularly, however, it takes 2-4 weeks from start to finish. Things that factor into this is how large and complicated the project is.
How do I pay?
I will send you an invoice for a 50% deposit. This allows me to order all of the materials and supplies to get started on the project. Upon completion, I'll send you the remainder of your invoice for the final payment. You can or you can pay e-transfer or PayPal.
Do you deliver?
Yes, I do. I travel up to 1 hours from my location in Essex County. If you require delivery, please let me know and I can give you a quote for that.
Do you ship or have pick up?
If you are over 1 hour away, and can't pick up, I will arrange with a shipping company according to the size of the order. For pick up, you will be able to schedule a date and time with us to stop by our shop to pickup.
